I am a diebeticbut i control it through diet and exercise my hgaic was 5.8 and blood sugar was 85 is that ok?

';Prandial'; as asked in the previous question refers to ';meals.'; So ';post-prandial'; means after a meal.





I suggest that you get some good basic education on diabetes, what it is and what the numbers mean - the more knowledge you have, the better health choices you can make!





I speak from experience, have had insulin dependent diabetes for 47 years :)

I agree with some of the other responses! You do need to keep a close eye on your sugars, but education, education, education will help you more than anything. 85 is a great number, but be careful not to drop it to low. If you haven't seen a dietitian that specialized in diabetes that would also be a good thing!
Those are pretty good numbers. Don't settle on the 5.8, though.... you can do better. 4.8 to 5.2 is totally do-able. The lower you go on the HbA1C, the better. 85 fasting is excellent.
Your HgA1C is within normal limits. Anything less than 6% shows very good control The target is to be at 6% or less at all times.


Your glucose of 85 is perfect. Keep doing what you are doing!!

Honey....you did good !! Most diabetics would kill for those readings. Just don't let yourself go to low. That can be unhealthy too
6.0 and under is usually considered normal....and 85 was that prandial or post-prandial?
