No- taking the pill while pregnant does not lead to a miscarriage- it leads to birth defects. If she does not want the pregnancy to continue, this is not the method. She should see a doctor for an abortion if this is something she desires. Birth control pills are meant to prevent any unwanted pregnancy and also helps to regulate periods. So since your brother girlfriend is pregnant, why must she takes the birth control pill? It won't change the fact. Yes... for sure it will harm the innocent child in her womb. It's best that to tell her to stop taking the pills immediately and have a medical check up to see if any effect has been taken place, unless she has other ';Hidden Agenda'; behind her action of taking the pill.

Yes it can harm the baby. The longer she is taking them the higher the risk is. I took them for one month while pregnant when I didn't know it and my son turned out fine, but If it had been longer he may have been born with mental disabilities. If she is pregnant why on earth would she still take them? What's the point?
It might cause serious complications. Whay is she doing this? Once she's find out she's pregnant she should stop the pill immediately!
