Yes, you can delete it from your toolbar
What you did was to remove SOME of the infection.
What you have is a classic Smitfraud infection which is caused when the Trojan Zlob gets downloaded to your computer and then Zlob ';phones home'; to download the phony alerts.
The standard tool to remove Smitfraud is a freebie called SmitfraudFix:

This should take care of the icon and remaining traces of the infection.
As a final step, scan for trojans and spyware and remove (free online scan, no download) with Ewido.(Now called AVG Anti-spyware. Not the same as AVG Anti-virus)
http://www.ewido.net/en/
This makes sure that the original Trojan Zlob, which caused all your misery in the first place, is totally removed. If Zlob remains, it can ';phone home'; again and re-infect your computer.
Best of luck.
Yep, SuperAntispyware will remove from your system.
Just go to www.superantispyware.com, and download the free version. Run a complete scan and its gone. I would also advise that you download Spyware Terminator to run as a secondary scanner.
How To Remove Virusprotectpro Or Virusprotect Pro (removal Instructions)
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t鈥?/a>
Is not that easy. If you decide removing VirusProtect manually, I suggest you go to the link I'm providing you and do it. However, any mistakes can cause even more damage to your computer. I'd go for the automatic removal, if you don't know a lot about computers, you can also find it in the link.
VirusProtect is a rogue anti-spyware program which downloads and installs itself onto your PC through a Trojan called Zlob. VirusProtect uses deceptive advertising tactics to mislead you into buying the full VirusProtect program. Do NOT be tricked.
My recommendation is that you get rid of VirusProtect immediately and avoid further damages to your PC.
Sounds like you have a nasty Trojan.
SuperAntiSpyware will remove the majority of difficult Trojans not just the easy ones.

If you are infected it is recommended that you load the application in normal mode but run it in Safe Mode. Safe Mode can be started by continually pressing F8 during the boot sequence.
If you are badly infected you might need to run SuperAntiSpyware more than once to give you a totally clean system. If the only infections now being shown are in System Restore, once you are completely satisfied that you can boot ok, you can either delete the infected restore points manually, or temporarily turn off System Restore.
In addition I suggest you download %26amp; run Avira. Unlike a lot of the free antivirus applications this will give you real time protection and is very quick to load at boot up.

Assuming you have some real awkward infections and the two above failed to totally clean your system I suggest you download a Smitfraud removal program from:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/deskto鈥?/a>
Again run in Safe Mode.
Good luck %26amp; safe surfing.
