I have stopped taking my birth control and have heard that my cycle my not stay on the same pace. I picked up my last RX on Nov 2 and I think I started taking it the next day, and did have a period after the 3 weeks, but not one since that. I'm not really thinking I'm pregnant, just that it may be out of wack for a while and wanted some conformation on that belief. Thanks!I have stopped taking my birth control, is it normal for my cycle to fluctuate after, and for how long?
Yes, it's very common for your cycle to be irregular after stopping birth control. I have heard of quite a few women who have been on the pill for 6-12 years who don't have their next period for 4 months or more after stopping the pill!
I just stopped the pill 2 weeks ago and I was on it for 3 and a half years and I am hoping I will have a normal cycle and continue to do so!I have stopped taking my birth control, is it normal for my cycle to fluctuate after, and for how long?
When I stopped taking my birth control (Alesse) it took probably three months to get back to normal. I have heard that it can take even longer, which is why doctors recommend that women who stop taking birth control for the purpose of getting pregnant wait at least three months before trying to conceive.
