If i double up on yasmin birth control will it stop the breakthrough bleeding?

i started taking yasmin for the first time one day after my period started (10 days ago). i have been bleeding and cramping everyday ever since. and its not just a little bit of blood. its like a second period! i was wondering if i take 2 pills instead of one will it stop this mess at least for one day! im trying to get back on the nuva ring but my doctor is ';soooo busy';. thank you.If i double up on yasmin birth control will it stop the breakthrough bleeding?

Please DON'T start doubling up on birth control pills. Chances are that you'll make a bad situation worse. Get with your doctor and get this sorted out. As for going back to the Nring and your doctor being ';soooo busy';, here's some excellent advice....





Find a new doctor, someone who can give you a reasonable level of response and attention.

Doubling up could make things worse. In fact, you might want to consider switching to the mini-pill, as some women find that the regular stuff causes excessive bleeding. A few friends of mine experienced heavy bleeding that lasted for two or more weeks when they started on birth control, and ended up having to switch to the mini-pill or stop taking it altogether.
